New York Marathon 2010

I do not think that marathon sport was much like by the people. In many countries, the marathon is always followed by many participants. Today, Monday 7 November 2010, New York Marathon 2010 or calling also as New York City Marathon 2010 is being held.

Understand that first New York City Marathon was held in 1970. This marathon is held every year, with a distance of about 42.195 km or 26.219 mils whose course runs through all five boroughs of New York City. It's not short distance.

Last year, New York City Marathon has become the largest marathon anywhere in the world. Each year nearly two million cheering spectators line the course from all different neighborhoods of New York. Last year, New York Marathon attended by approximately 43659 people.

New York City Marathon 2010 shall be actually beginning at the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the 1st among the five bridges the people Shall pass through Brooklyn, Queens and after that to Manhattan. They also shall be dipping in Bronx and finally coming back to Manhattan and going to the central park where all of it shall get finished after a long distance of 26.2 miles as I mentioned above.

Will last year New York City Marathon winner, Meb Keflezighi (men's race) and Derartu Tulu (women's race) also attended this year's marathon? We'll wait for further news.
